Welcome to SCORE, a non-profit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE volunteers serve as Counselors to Americas Small Business. Founded in 1964, SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories. Over 300,000 small businesses are assisted each year, with the total well over 4.5 million since 1964. SCORE 439 Mission Statement
1. Startups: to assist local men and women to launch a new business, or purchase an existing business.
2. Mentoring: to assist mature businesses in successfully resolving marketing/sales, human resources, engineering/manufacturing and managerial problems and to assist local small business owners to either expand their operations or sell their businesses.
3. Funding: to assist our clients to seek and obtain the necessary funds to carry out their business objectives.
4. Education: to develop and conduct low-cost small business seminars for our clients and the general public.

Getting Started With SCORE
Mentoring is Easy!
1. Call the Pasco/Hernando Chapter of SCORE at (727) 842-4638 and give our desk counselor your preliminary information or access our web site at www.score439.org or at score439@verizon.net
2. Your case will be assigned to a counselor with the most appropriate skills and background. You will be contacted to set up a face-to-face meeting, typically at your place of business, to discuss your problems and develop a plan of action. Additional co-counselors will be added to address your special needs, as required.
Remember, getting assistance for your small business is up to you!
